Meet the Founder

Driven by the desire to introduce young minds to the core concepts of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), Billye authored “The STEM Friends” book series. She hopes to spark curiosity and understanding of these subjects at an early age to lay a solid foundation for future learning.

Billye Boddie embodies the definition of diverse interests, from her career as a network engineer to her roles as cyber security consultant and STEM educational speaker for her educational company. Coupled with her love of nature and penchant for writing stories, she is out there doing it all.

Her debut book, “Bella dear, The Engineer”, warmly welcomed her onto the publishing scene, garnering praise from parents and children alike who found it helpful for introducing young ones to the world of technology. Her latest release, “Super Cyber Adventures”, draws from the experience and inspiration she gained while working as a network engineer. This book offers a window into a career in technology networks—providing a starting point for children by introducing them to cybersecurity and its importance in the modern world.

By intentionally including characters of color as the protagonists of her literature, Billye aims to inspire children from all backgrounds with the idea that they can achieve vibrant careers in STEM.

Combining her experience in technology with bright, fun illustrations and engaging plots, Billye has already inspired countless young readers. But her advocation of STEM doesn’t stop there. She wants to teach children that there are more career opportunities in the world than becoming a doctor or teacher. There’s nothing wrong if they choose a more traditional career path, but she wants children to be presented with the opportunity to learn about all the available options and then choose for themselves.
