3 Tips for Busy Career moms learning Tech Skills

Looking for a change in your life?

I know how you feel. I was looking for a change in my life and career when I got into tech. I was tired of slaving away at a job that was not doing anything for me. I felt trapped in a life that was not giving me the work life balance I wanted. Getting into tech was a good way to change my life by helping me provide more for my family. It allowed me to spend more time with them. Before I got to spend more time with them I had to find creative ways to study and learn about tech with them.

Get the family involved

I know how hard it is to get things done when your kids are around. A way to get them involved is to get more done is to get them involved in what you’re doing. If your kids are old enough let them feel like they are part of your growth and success. Let them know what you’re trying to do and why.

Make time for success

You have to make time for what is important to you so if getting into tech is important to you, you have to make time for researching and learning. Decide what time of day works best for you and other pockets of time in your day you can squeeze in some research or job opportunities.

Learn on the go

I know that sometimes it can be too busy to sit down and read a book. That why I suggest you learn from downloadable podcasts and audiobooks so you can learn on the go. When you listen to audiobooks and podcasts you can do your mommy multitasking more easily. Now that you know how getting into tech would it benefit your family. What are you going to do to get the ball rolling?
